How to configure Serial/IP
Please use the StreamText.Net Connector application instead of Serial/IP. These instructions are only provided for existing Serial/IP users. StreamText.Net will not be supporting Serial/IP after December 2010.
In
order to write to StreamText.Net you need to be able to establish a
authenticated connection to the StreamText.Net servers. The best way
to accomplish this is utilizing an application called Serial/IP from
Tactical Software. You can learn about and download the software from
the following location:
http://www.tacticalsoftware.com/products/serialip.htm
Once
you've downloaded and installed the software, you need to configure it
for connecting to the StreamText.Net servers. The thing you will have
to respond to is the selection of ports. In the example below, I've
selected 2 ports. You only need to select more than one port if you
will be writing with multiple accounts.

After you've selected the ports and clicked on "OK", you'll be presented with the control panel interface as below.

NOTE: Make sure you've got the correct port selected on the left. In this case COM8
Make
all of your settings look the same as they do above with the exception
of the username and password. Use your email address and password that
you sign into the StreamText.Net website.
