How to connect a StreamText event to a VideoLinq broadcast

To get started  you will need to set up and understand how to configure a VideoLinq channel. Here is the link to learn more about VideoLinq and the details to set up your account. You will need to create a channel first in VideoLinq. Next follow the steps below to connect a StreamText event to your channel. 

To add captions to a videolinq channel please follow these steps:

1. Open the channel you created and click on the CC tab under the video on the channel page. 
   
   
2. On the CC tab in VideoLinq Select “ Add manual closed captioning to video” . Then use the values circled for the ST event in step #3.
3. Schedule a ST event -  VideoLinq options are under the CARTCaptioning tab
   

1. Copy the closed captioning credentials from VideoLing into the StreamText VideoLinq configuration options on the Cart/Captioning tab. See screenshot below of that section.
2. The correction buffer is used for captioning platforms that cannot buffer the output on their end. This buffer will allow you to have your translations complete before they are sent to the video. If you notice duplication in the CC then you may want to try increasing this duration. 
3. The default line length is 32 but can be adjusted as needed.
4. Make sure the VideoLinq channel is started before you start the StreamText event. 

Once the StreamText event starts you will  see your captions streaming into the destination sources that VideoLinq was configured for.

Troubleshooting:

1. Make sure you can see captions in the regular StreamText link. 
2. VideoLinq troubleshooting
1. Check CC status on media dashboard
2. Make sure values were copied correctly into the StreamText event
3. (other suggestions- start up sequence. )
